Scientists say women are genetically programmed to cheat on their mates while ovulating, but only when their mates are less attractive than other men.
Call it the "Animal Planet" effect: When their fertility is at its highest, women tend to look around for a more physically attractive partner who potentially has better genes to pass on to offspring.
The research, conducted by UCLA and the University of New Mexico, also found that men sense something is afoot and become more attentive and possessive during ovulation. They guard their mates even if they don't consciously know she's ovulating.

In a study of 68 women who recorded when they had sex over a three-month period, it was discovered that during ovulation, when a woman is most likely to become pregnant, the overall frequency of sex increased by 24 percent. Most women have about six fertile days a month -- the five days preceding ovulation and the day of ovulation.A woman’s libido may be heightened when she is ovulating so she has an increased interest in sex, or she may produce more pheromones, chemicals that send messages to other individuals, that increase her sexual attractiveness.Animal studies have also shown that having sex accelerates ovulation.
It dosent make much sense to me that women are "programmed" to cheat through biology or whatever else. people cheat because they want to. we shouldnt be making excuses but trying to find ways to keep them from cheating

I have to agree with you Aguila....women...people cheat because they want to...or at least that is just my opinion...I dont believe that I am programmed to cheat on my spouse a certain time of every month...No way!
well, well never hear more crap in my life, about humans are genetically programmed. who in the world wrote that? so that means we are robots then?. It's my belief that humans do what ever they make their mind up to do, cheat, lie. steal. murder its all in the mind what ever one make up his or her mind to do. somepeople cheat all thier life and some never even try so is that genetic?. people do what ever they want to do , some do it for a reason, some to get even, what ever it is no one is programmed it all come from Adam and Eve's sin i think its more of a generation curse than genetic.

Disgusting and unreal what scientists are trying to make we humans believe. Those persons who make these reports need to examine their heads. Where on this world that i am genetically made to cheat huh. I cheat if i want to cheat or if i just feel like being mean or getting even. On a whole what sense does it make? If a woman cheats she is a slut, whore or the worst names if a man cheats he is a dan and the master. A woman cheats because she decides well hey this man is just pissing me off and he thinks i dont look good, i cant do anything he wants me to do, he is cheating so let me cheat too. Remember women think the same as men sometimes. We are all human beings and created sinners and we can't blame adam and eve neither cause they made their choices. It does not mean that we have to do the same as they did.
